Susy Homemaker strikes again! I don’t know exactly what has come over me, but I have decided – enough with the procrastination – it is time to become a FlyBaby! I started by making a control journal. I spent my cleaning time today in the zone of the week – the kitchen.
Here is a list of things I accomplished:
1. Clean the tops of the walls and ceilings as well as light fixtures.
2. Wipe down doors & cabinets.
3. Clean out the fridge – and by clean out I mean take everything out, get rid of anything old and all left-overs, scrub the inside and then put the good stuff back in.
4. Clean No Man’s Land A.K.A. the top of the fridge – Ewww!!!
5. Clean out the 3 junk drawers.
6. Remove everything from the kitchen that does not belong.
7. Clean the stove.
8. Clean the counters.
9. Run and unload dishwasher.
10. Laundry
11. Made a cheese cake – okay that isn’t technically cleaning, but I did clean up the mess from it!
What’s on the list for tomorrow?
clean out/organize the pantry, clean the blinds, wash the rugs, clean out the
Gates of Hell A.K.A. the Tupperware cabinet, clean out the microwave and toaster oven, and sweep and mop. I am figuring it will only take about 2 hours total – if that. And I should definitely add eat some cheese cake to the list!
Heather came over today to bring me back a craft table that she had borrowed forever ago for the Gordonston Art Fair and discovered me looking like a 1950’s housewife. My hair was up in a bun, and I was wearing one of my homemade vintage style aprons. She really wanted to take a picture but she didn’t have her camera and I couldn’t find mine. She just missed me in my stylish blue gloves with polka dots around the top! =) Oh wait! Jason just got home and took a picture of me. Please don’t judge…it has been a long day of cleaning and I am a hot mess!
Oh and did I mention I started tutoring this morning, went to pick up some tasty crickets for Frog and Toad, and ran a few other errands? What a day! =) I feel like singing that song the mice sing in the Disney version of Cinderella “Cindyrelly Cindyrelly night and day its Cindyrelly do the dishes! Do the Moppin’! They always keep her hoppin’! Shes running round in circles ’til shes very very dizzy still they holler keep ’em busy Cindyrelly!”
***update: The cheese cake is divine! Coffee and cheese cake – just a little slice of heaven!
